The Secret Mountain Presents 'Down at the Sea Hotel,' New Storybook/CD Based on a Greg Brown Song
Montreal (PRWEB) October 23, 2007 - Imagine a children's storybook and CD that appeals to parents as much as it does their little ones, that features tracks from legendary songwriters performed by a stellar array of exciting roots artists, and can both ease your child into slumber and double as the background music for your next adult dinner party. You have just discovered a brand new CD from The Secret Mountain, Down at the Sea Hotel.
Since 2000, Montreal-based The Secret Mountain has made great children's entertainment (that parents also love) its stock in trade and with the release of the all-new storybook-music CD Down at the Sea Hotel the reputation of the award-winning purveyor of imaginative books, CDs and DVDs for children remains solidly intact.
Down at the Sea Hotel is a song written by two-time Grammy nominee Greg Brown, whose career spans two decades and more than a dozen critically acclaimed albums. It is also a story, exquisitely illustrated by acclaimed Canadian illustrator Mireille Levert. Levert, a two-time winner of the Governor General's Literature Award and recent finalist for the Marilyn Baillie Picture Book Award, also created the CD cover art. IT is available in two versions -- a colorfully illustrated book/CD set and an audio digipak edition.
In addition to its title track the album also features 13 lullabies written by celebrated songwriters (Neil Young, Carole King, Don Henley, Steve Earle, Nanci Griffith, Tom Waits, etc.), whose songs are performed by artists signed by the prestigious Minnesota roots music label Red House Records, including Guy Davis, Lucy Kaplansky, John Gorka, Eliza Gilkyson, The Wailin' Jennys and Lynn Miles.
Down at the Sea Hotel is the latest in a series of music and storybook releases from The Secret Mountain, which also includes The Fabulous Song, the Dream Songs, Night Songs series (From Mali to Louisiana and From China to Senegal), A Duck In New York City, A Poodle in Paris, and Lullaby Berceuse. The Montreal-based company has offices in Paris, and has recently broken into the U.S. marketplace with an award-winning music DVD release, A Treasure in My Garden
All Secret Mountain releases are available in two formats: as a hard cover illustrated book and CD (or DVD) combo pack and as a digi-pack CD or DVD with a printable file of lyrics and illustrations.
Down at the Sea Hotel hits U.S. retail stores on Tuesday, October 23, 2007. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund. Visit thesecretmountain.com for more information.

Discover the Best CD Rates Using CD Ladders
Certificates of Deposit, also referred to as CDs, are thought by many people to be a highly stable way to invest your money. Many certificates of deposit are offered by reputable banks, and in the United States most CDs are insured in accordance with the requirements of the FDIC. Sounds good so far, but one of the least appealing qualities of CDs is that your funds are untouchable in the bank for a certain length of time, known as the "term". If a depositor attempts to withdraw their funds before the term is concluded, then they can be required to pay large penalties for the early withdrawal. While a person might be inclined to select shorter term CDs, often you will see 4 year or 5 year CDs (and sometimes longer) with the highest CD rates....

Music CD replication ? a professional alternative for CD duplication
Few people understand the difference between replicated and duplicated disks. The main difference is the quality of the resulting music CD or DVD. Not everyone can perform disk replication, special equipment is necessary in order to generate first quality disks. Music CD replication or DVD CD replication in association with a cost effective CD cover provider can be an advantageous business opportunity.
