ChemSW, CDW, VMware Post Top 3 Customer Satisfaction Scores on VendorRate : IT and Technology Pros Give "Exceptional" Ratings to Only Eight Vendors
LOS GATOS, Calif. (Business Wire EON) July 15, 2008 -- ChemSW, a leader in chemical inventory management systems with 15,000 customers in 40 countries, posted an overall score of 95 out of a possible 100 on VendorRate, nearly ten points higher than second place CDW, with an 86.3, followed by VMware at 84.3.
Only five other companies in VendorRate's database of 11,000 vendors across some 60 industries received "exceptional" composite scores, above 80, for the quarter: Seagate Small & Medium Business (83.3), HP Servers (82.3), Microsoft Servers/Infrastructure (82.2), Apple (81.1) and Dell Servers (80.5).
"VendorRate scores help IT departments make better vendor selections based on feedback from existing customers," said Richard Schaefer, CEO of VendorRate. "The playing field between large and small vendors is leveled because the experiences of many customers provide a more reliable source of information than vendor brand positioning."
"This kind of independent, objective rating service really benefits the industry," states Brian Stafford, President of ChemSW. "Our company's high score underscores our strong focus on customer service and our commitment to delivering a chemical inventory solution that meets customer requirements."
ChemSW was also the only vendor to place in the top three companies in all ten performance categories that make up the total score ? likely to recommend, integrity, communication, timeliness, usability, reliability, customer service, budget, expertise and effectiveness. CDW and VMware both ranked among the top three in four of the ten performance areas, as did Apple.
Other vendors scoring highly in various individual performance categories included Seagate Small & Medium Business, HP Printers, Microsoft Servers/Infrastructure and HP Desktops/Notebooks.
The full report also lists the vendors with lowest overall scores, the top hardware and software vendors in their respective industries and the overall best and worst vendors by industry sectors. The report is now available free on the VendorRate site at http://www.vendorrate.com/news/2008-07-14-VRReport.pdf.
